Over time, this infection can cause loss of teeth, heart, liver, and kidney disease.  The key to preventing periodontal disease is routine dental check ups and cleanings.

Dental cleanings are preformed under general anesthesia.  Indian Creek Veterinary Hospital uses the most advanced methods of anesthesia and monitoring along with pre-anesthetic blood screenings for the safety of each pet.
